27 Dress-Ups 07: Pink Perky Fridays

Throughout the week, we’re lost when in comes to dates in the office. There are just two days that we become highly aware of – Mondays and Fridays – the former being the mother of all awareness that it’s back to work, back to business, and the latter boiling down to the weekend’s anticipation. Fridays bring ambiguous feelings toward work – either you’re so pumped to get it over with that you’re breezing through everything, or you’re so down and lazy bringing all the negative vibes in your work. Well, instead of sulking through work and almost throwing up every next bit, it’s surely miles better to choose to be positive!

What better way to bring sincerely perky vibes into the workplace than with dashes of bright, happy colors. They surely brighten up the environment and the mood (well, for the fashion frenzied anyway). And what happier colors are there other than pink and yellow?

I just love the patterns of this pink polo shirt. They’re quite unique and exquisitely crafted if you look closely. They naturally take the edge off of any dull plains.
These colors were also treats to the eyes of boyfie’s nephew, who we babysat before work. Nevertheless, they’re certainly powerless when the infant started to get all fussy and wouldn’t stop crying for like an hour (which seemed like eternity to us.) That really took out a lot of energy! (Not to mention the strengthened regard to NOT have kids till we’re surely prepared! Haha.)

I know I got a little – well, maybe even a lot – silly when it came to taking these photos. I figured – fun outfit equals fun poses. Teehee! We all deserve a break! Have a fun weekend!

27 Dress-Ups 01: Pegging Prim and Proper

Hey everyone! Feels good to be blogging again!

Got my very first parcel yesterday! I ordered 3 tops and a vest from an online shop for the very first time also last week and my orders arrived when I was sleeping last Saturday. Imagine my half-dazed surprise when I woke up and a torn parcel was beside my pillow already. Mom got excited and carried away so she ripped em up herself when it arrived, according to her. Haha.

Was quite disappointed with the peach top there tho. It was white in the photo and yet it arrived that way. Haha. Anyway, they're all so pretty and fab so it's okay! And they were such a bargain! I got them at Buy 1 Take 1 @ 350 from Supra Fame. I must say, online shopping was quite satisfying, I know I'll do it again some time. Hehe. Can't wait to wear 'em all! :D

In other news:

It's back to dress-up weekdays in the office, but of course, we won't settle for looking dull and uptight. I decided to challenge myself with 27 different looks that would qualify in our dress-up rule, without sacrificing being fab.

Just to give a general idea what are the do's and don'ts during dress-up days, let me enumerate some of the general mandates:

  • No plain tees. Jackets or blazers must be worn on top if T-shirts are worn.
  • No leggings (except for preggies) and jeans. Slacks and skirts are preferred.
  • No sleeveless and anything revealing. Dresses must be at least 3 inches above the kneecap or longer.
  • Shoes must have at least an inch of heels. (But our team leader told me that flats are acceptable for closed shoes)
So here's my first look - 27 Dress-Ups 01: Pegging Prim and Proper
I've worn this dress as a top before, and now I decided to "set all its colors free." Teehee! I paired it with a knit cardigan and my vintage beige shoes to create a preppy chick look.
The vintage necklace and Asian-inspired cuff added a trinket-load of fun flair to the look.

Of course, the printed sunnies top it all off to give off a cool, stylish vibe. Comfort and style will always be my main considerations in my looks. And...
Bottom line is: whatever you wear, JUST HAVE FUN WITH IT! :D

Plain Pastels

I just loved the colors during our instant photo shoot during our retreat in Caleruega. This is a short tribute to the lovely pastel plains two of my friends wore.

*Photo credits to Miggo Vittorio Mejico (Vitto), another friend of ours.

This is my lovely friend, Kariza Naguit, sporting a perfectly fitted beautiful red tee. The necklace breaks the dullness and adds the subtlest yet glam touch. Of course the acid wash jeans and flats compliment the plainness of the tee. Notice the nails? They're "MnM blue" Faceshop polish, again, a nice touch to the whole look.
(BTW, that's a cameo of myself in the monochrome stripes and the rest of our friends in the background. Teehee! )

Coincidentally, this dashing guy and co-blogger, RJ Naguit or BoyAcads/The R, sported this soft blue fitted shirt. Perfectly suiting his body type, this shirt is surely a staple in the wardrobe. It's fun, fresh and very versatile for casual occasions.

And this is a photo of them together. Don't they just go lovely? (Fun fact though, however lovely they go together, they're cousins; hence, the same last names. But the on-screen chemistry's definitely there. Haha!) They were definitely a refreshing feast for the eyes. Kudos! (:

More on our hilltop fashion soon! (:
